About Stampzy
Is it really the new address?
Yes. Stampzy ships boundary data for the 34 provinces and 3,321 communes and wards of the structure in force since 1/7/2025, with no district level. Commune/ward and province are worked out on your iPhone from the GPS fix. Online, the app may add the house number and street from Apple's map service; if that service still returns an old commune or province, Stampzy keeps the new-structure result. Right at the boundary between two communes the result depends on GPS accuracy — check the address line on the viewfinder before you shoot.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. Capture, stamping, coordinates and the commune/province address all work offline. Without a connection there is no house number or street. If network time was checked in the last 24 hours the stamp still says “Verified time”; otherwise it says “Device time”.
Are my photos sent to a server?
No. Stampzy has no server of its own and no account. Photos, videos and reports are made and stored on your iPhone and leave it only when you share them. The only things that go over the network are: coordinates sent to Apple's map service for the street address (when online), a time check against a few large public web servers (carrying none of your data), Pro purchases through RevenueCat with an anonymous ID, and anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase (which features are used — never photos, locations or text; you can turn them off in Settings).
What does “Verified time” mean?
Stampzy reads the time from a few large web servers and remembers how far the device clock is off. For the next 24 hours, as long as the clock is not changed, the stamp uses network time and says “Verified time” — even with no signal when you shoot. Outside that window it plainly says “Device time”.
Does the photo code prove a photo was not edited?
No. The photo code is a consistency code that helps you match a photo against your own records. It is not a tamper-proof certificate, and Stampzy is not a tool for producing legal evidence.
Does the person I send a photo to need Stampzy to see the location?
No. They scan the QR in the photo's corner with the iPhone camera or Zalo's scanner, and a web page opens with the time it was taken, the address, the coordinates and directions. The QR holds only what the stamp prints; the details sit after the # of the link, so the browser never sends them to a server, and the page has no analytics. Anyone can make a link like this, so the page does not confirm a photo is genuine.
What are the limits of the free version?
No limit on the number or quality of photos. You get 3 templates (Attendance, Construction / Acceptance, Custom), and photos carry a small “Scan for location” QR in the corner (or the word “Stampzy” when the stamp prints no address or coordinates). Video, logo, the photo code and the other 9 templates are in Stampzy Pro.
How do the trial and cancelling work?
The yearly plan has a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Cancel in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Stampzy at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you will not be charged. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel.
Is there an Android version? Does it work outside Vietnam?
Stampzy is for iPhone on iOS 17 or later only. Outside Vietnam it still stamps the time and coordinates as usual; the address then comes from Apple's map service, so it needs a connection.
Photos with the time and place
How do I get the date, time and location on iPhone photos?
The iPhone Camera always stores the capture date and time in the photo's hidden metadata, and stores the location if the Camera may use it (Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Camera → While Using the App). Metadata is often stripped by messaging apps, so if the recipient needs to see it, put the date and place on the image itself, with Markup or a timestamp camera.
Read the guide →Can I add the date and time to photos I already took?
Yes. Read the original time and place by swiping up on the photo in Photos, then write exactly that onto a copy. Stampzy has batch stamping (in Stampzy Pro): it reads the time and location stored in each photo, the stamp says “Photo time”, and the originals are not modified.
Read the guide →How accurate are the GPS coordinates on a photo?
Under open sky, phone GPS is usually within a few metres; indoors, in a basement or between tall buildings it can be tens of metres off. Open the camera and wait a few seconds before shooting. Coordinates on a phone photo locate a place; they do not replace survey equipment.
Read the guide →Why do many apps still print a district or an old province name?
They take the address from a map service, and map services update administrative data on their own schedule. Since 1 July 2025, Vietnamese addresses have only two levels: commune/ward and province/city. Stampzy works out the commune and province from the new boundary data bundled with the app, so its stamp has no district.

Can Stampzy replace a time clock or HR software?
No. Stampzy is a camera for one person at a time: each person checks in with photos and keeps their timesheet on their own iPhone. There is no server, no account and no team dashboard. It suits mobile workers and small teams who send their photos and timesheets to whoever does payroll.
Read the guide →What formats does Stampzy's timesheet export to?
Excel (.xlsx) and PDF. The Excel file has hours as numbers you can add up, flags for late arrivals, early leaves and missing check-outs, and a detail sheet with every entry's address, coordinates and photo code. Exporting the current week is free; exporting a whole month is part of Stampzy Pro.
Read the guide →What is the tidiest way to send a photo report on Zalo?
Combine the day's photos into one image or one PDF in time order, and send the summary as a separate text message, because Zalo often drops text shared together with an image. Stampzy makes image reports of up to 4 photos in the free version; PDF and larger reports are part of Stampzy Pro.
Read the guide →Can a whole team use the same stamp template?
Yes. The author locks lines such as the project name and contractor, then sends the template on Zalo as a link, a .stampzy file or a QR card. Receivers add it in one tap; using a shared template is free and needs no account.

Do I need an account to use Stampzy?
No. Stampzy has no accounts and no server of its own. Open the app, allow the camera and location, and shoot.
Is a Stampzy photo legal evidence?
No. A stamped photo is the photographer's own record: the time, the place and the notes, clear and easy to check. “Verified time” and the photo code help you match a photo against your own records, but they are not a tamper-proof certificate. For acceptance, handover or disputes, photos support the minutes and documents; they do not replace them.
